Food was delicious got the vegan fried steak and lasagna both amazing. So happy to find this new spot.

NuVegan serves up generous portions of soul food. They make an awesome Mac n cheese and the best chick’n drummies I’ve had. Most everything I’ve tried has been tasty. The only thing I didn’t enjoy were the cinnamon buns, which were hard.

We've read some previous reviews on Yelp mentioning rude staff, but our experience was quite the opposite. Our server was incredibly friendly and guided me through their popular dishes, frequently addressing me as "ma'am," which I appreciated. Don’t let negative comments deter you from visiting this place! The food was enjoyable. While I'm not from the South and unsure of the authentic taste of collard greens and okra, I found the collards delicious with a smoky flavor and a hint of spice. However, I wasn't a fan of the okra as it had a slightly slimy texture, but I’m open to trying a different side during my next visit. The chicken and jerk sauce were fantastic, though be aware that the chicken may have some bone fragments in it—it's just plant material. We really enjoyed our time there and were pleasantly surprised to find cakes for takeout and a vegan sweets shop in the food court. It seemed like a trendy spot with a great atmosphere, and I look forward to returning when I’m back in the area. The prices were a bit high, but the portions were large enough to share, making it worthwhile.

The kale salad is amazing, and the chicken drummies are one of my favorites. You really can’t go wrong with either!
