フィードバックを提供するOur annual Christmas tradition includes starting with a salad and a Christmas cocktail in the old town of Winchester. This is our usual spot for the occasion.
This time we decided to try out the brunch at the restaurant. Despite my initial reluctance to return, the size of our group left us with no other option.
I had the pleasure of dining at the Village Square in the historic town of Winchester for my birthday dinner. It is the only restaurant in the area that I would consider to be high-end.
We must have picked up a bad night. We arrived without reservations and were sitting immediately and greeted nicely from the waiter and busboy. We ordered the salmon/sticked crab and Cioppino. We waited about an hour for our meals to arrive, and they were not hot – nice, best. My wife's salmon looked good, though only warm. I expected more substance with the Cioppino. It was thin and without seafood. The waiter was apologetic and was just as a victim of kitchen substaffing/problems as we do. He gave us a free dessert and coffee, and his positive attitude saved the day. There are many restaurants in this area, and it will be awhile before we try Village Square again.
Great food, well seasoned. Service was great, our waitress was very attentive. The dessert was tasty and delicious. Very upscale environment, quiet and relaxing. Scallops Rockefeller were 5/5. Lach was delicious
