Cogan's Deli Sports Pub - Williamsburg

Cogan's has been a favorite of ours since it opened. Terrific sandwiches, beer cave, salads. A true neighborhood-type place.

Cogans is one of my regular places, great deli sandwiches with boars head meats, pretty much the best jersey boardwalk type seasoned fries! I do wish they had better fresh brewed sweet tea though than gold peak! ? ?, but they do have great service as well! ?

Really fast and delicious! The staff was very friendly. I had the Gillie, it was perfect and the bread was nice and soft. Will definitely go back when I'm in town again.

As someone who's from the Northeast, Virginia seems to lack any semblance of a decent deli. Cogan's is about as close as you can get to a classic Tri-State deli, and they do a very good job. I like their Paninis, specifically The Bert is a standout. I will say their portions are a bit on the smaller size. I think the sandwich sizes are decent but the fries, pasta salad, and potato salad are very meager portions. For reference the pasta potatoe salad is in a condiment container (need to do better there). Service is alright, always feel that the cashier could be a little friendlier in my opinion, but the food makes up for it.

Stopped by for the first time for a quick lunch this weekend and had a great experience. Our cashier/server Patty was so friendly and kind. Quick service and good standard food from their classic bar menu to lots of delicious sandwich options.
