Rick's Cheese Steak Shop - Williamsburg

Always happy with Ricks, the Turkey Club was huge and they have the best Cheese Steak sandwich around here. Each was enough for two meals.

Food was awesome!!!! Cheese steak and fries. You can never go wrong with a Cheese Steak from Ricks. Will never edit so long again to order. Cant leave a photo. Ate it too fast, actually only ate a 1/4 of a small and I was full.

I lived in Philadelphia for 2 years and are a LOT of cheesesteaks during my time there, so I know a good cheesesteak when I see one, and I know how hard they are to find. And Rick’s has legitimate cheesesteaks! The bread is perfect (soft but just enough substance to hold up the meat), the meat is perfectly thinly sliced and juicy, and there is the perfect amount of American cheese. The prices are reasonable, and a “small” is probably big enough for 2 people to share. We didn’t try any of the rest of the menu, but we will next time we visit Williamsburg.

We ordered large cheese steak, philly cheese steak salad, fries, and kids sandwich. The portions were generous and the fries were perfectly done (without salt). However, the cheese steak had so many jalapenos, seeds and even the flipping jalapeno stem (see photos) it was difficult to taste the flavor of the steak and cheese. Also, the cheese steak salad had iceberg lettuce which in a cold salad tastes just fine, but with a hot salad topper it was wilted and nearly mushy. The cashier seemed kind and patient, but I don't think that's enough to make up for the stem inside my sandwich.

The most amazing cheesesteaks we have ever had! Mike is so friendly even when they are super busy. The delicious desserts and large drink selection is just a bonus! We have already been twice since our first visit!
