The Blue Stone - Waitsfield

I only ordered takeout from here during a recent VT vacation and this place came highly recommended from our AirBnB host. We can definitely understand why! I wish I had taken pictures of the food before we devoured everything. First thing: get the garlic knots! Trust me and the many others who have said the same thing. My wife got their Stone Salad with chicken and loved it. Dressing was amazing. My daughter got Duke wrap and it was a unique sandwich using a flatbread wrap instead of a traditional sandwich wrap. The peppered steak was great and their garlic mayo are ? I went with the OG Burger and my opinion is that it's a Top 3 burger I've ever consumed. While we didn't dine in, the atmosphere looked amazing and I definitely would have enjoyed a few VT craft beer. Definitely recommend Blue Stone to all.

Definitely the best restaurant in the area! There is mainly a large selection of delicious pizza here, but the burgers and salads are at least as good. You can sit both inside and outside and the staff is very friendly. There is also a large parking lot. The family and I were in town for the week, and we like to try local restaurants. This one deserved a repeat!! Seven people X two trips 14 meals and 4 appetizers. Everything was fantastic!! Take your family here and earn attaboy points!!

I felt on that spot directly after going out of a hike on the Long Trail and it was a blessing! The owner was so nice and the staff very Hikers-friendly. Excellent pizza , amazing foccacia and tapenade. great spot in the village, the best recovery snack I could dream of!!

They have taken vegan cheese from multiple different people/customers as confirmed from those people to me and I’ve also gotten a vegan pizza from them before. I have people in my party that also have dietary restrictions (allergies) so this is nice and I’ve eaten here before and gotten various dishes without any issue. It’s been one of my favorite places not anymore. I called to inquire about doing a vegan cheese pizza again and the possibility of a stuffed crust. The woman on the phone was seemingly nice until she came back with the answer regarding my inquiry on a stuffed crust which was no (that’s fine) then she hung up on me abruptly without letting me finish my inquiry further or place a proper order. I called back and got a different person who I told I was hung up on when simply asking a question; before I was hung up on I wanted to know if I could bring in vegan cheese again to have another vegan pizza made as I have had in the past they said no even though they confirmed it was done prior and with others. They then feel the need to say it’s not malicious despite me not saying anything further past my inquiries. I am really disappointed in the service; it’s a dietary restriction (allergy) what is wrong with you folks to have done a specialty order in the past and then act this way to a customer who is simply inquiring and wanting to potentially place an order; you should be ashamed of yourselves. I’ll recommend other pizza places to anyone coming in town from now on and steer people clear from this establishment I don’t want others experiencing the same service so I’ll make sure to tell them of the quality of the service and staff if they are considering this place.
