フィードバックを提供するWe arrived late from our trip to Europe and were quite tired. The shuttle picked us up from San Francisco airport and got us there quickly—just a heads-up, the shuttle stops running after 10:30 PM, so it's good to plan ahead. Check-in was seamless, and our accommodations were excellent. The staff here went above and beyond to assist us. Our room was lovely, and the beds were very comfortable. We woke up early for breakfast and took a quick stroll by the water behind the hotel, which was really nice and refreshing. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area.
Check-in went smoothly with a friendly receptionist, who upgraded us to a suite, and we enjoyed a pleasant cocktail hour and dinner at the Bistro. After returning to our room, we watched some shows on Hulu and went to bed. Suddenly, the phone rang. I quickly jumped up, removed my earplugs (since we snore), and answered. A woman named Melissa informed me that our TV was disturbing other guests and that we needed to lower the volume. I let her know that we were already in bed and not watching TV. She then suggested that we shouldn't talk so loudly. I reiterated that we were trying to sleep and, as a Platinum member, I found her accusations unwarranted. Things escalated from there. Melissa claimed she had received a complaint and that it was her duty to notify all surrounding guests. Despite my attempts to explain that she should be de-escalating the situation instead of escalating it, she only grew louder and more unprofessional. She refused to let me speak to a supervisor. After trying to return to bed, my message light went on. When I responded to an agent—not Melissa—she asked me to hold, only to later tell me to disregard it. However, mere seconds after getting back to bed, the phone rang again. After several attempts to get a response on my end, I had reached my limit. I called the elite line to request a nearby room. I was informed that my certificate couldn’t be transferred and the closest available room was priced at $1,000 for the night, or I could use points. I chose to use points and ended up at the Marriott near San Francisco Airport. While it’s not the SF Marriott where we've stayed many times, it appears to be a newer property. Currently, we're at the bar, which is filled with loud women laughing and drinking. How ironic that we were reprimanded for being loud while we were simply trying to sleep! Never again!
**Positives:** - Free airport shuttle to and from SFO if you're driving. - Free parking available. - It's a small hotel with a nice little café on site. - The rooms are comfortable. - Free Internet access. - There’s a 3.5-mile jogging/walking trail along a small body of water, Oyster Point. - A 24-hour fitness facility. **Negatives:** - Dining options nearby are limited, whether you're walking or driving. Food lovers might be disappointed! - The rooms feel a bit outdated and aren't luxurious in any way. **Conclusion:** For business trips in the area, this would be my fourth or fifth choice of hotel. However, for personal travel, there’s not much in the vicinity. It's over 10 miles from downtown San Francisco, so if you plan to spend most of your time there, I would recommend finding a hotel that's closer.
Having lived and worked in the city of San Francisco, I used to consider South San Francisco, Brisbane and San Bruno area to be somewhat of a ghetto area because it's on the bay side as opposed to the ocean side. Well , it's been over 20 years since I've lived in the city and that might have something to do with it too but the improvement has been astonishing. High rise buildings whether hotels or corporations have been built , it's really cleaned up. Anyways going back to reviewing the hotel. It's on the shore of San Francisco Bay. You can open the gate and have access to the shoreline trail covered with flowers. Combination of flowers, the bay breeze and the sea water wakes me up in the morning. Breakfast is not your typical continental breakfast. You get to order one item off Starbucks menu but they are different. I got the smoked salmon bagels . Very stylish. You know you are in the city when you see lox bagel on the wooden cutting board. It's a treat when you get a free parking in San Francisco. Parking is absolutely a nightmare in the city. So to sum it up. Can't go wrong with free parking, lox bagel for breakfast, hotel by the shore. Close to SFO but you don't hear any noise from the airport. Love the city vibe. Making me want to move back to the city. Despite arriving there late 10 pm), Eva who helped us check in was very nice and accommodating. We got a really nice king bed room on the ground level looking at the courtyard and view of the bay. We could even see the water. Room is very large with a sofa , king size bed , a fridge , a tv , very clean . Nice big shower head and typical San Francisco water pressure lol) with a bathtub. Dispenser shampoo, conditioner and soap. The only thing was there's no microwave in the room but I can live with that. Overall , I really like this hotel , location , cleanliness, comfortable bed and pillows, bathtub , size of the room , plenty parking space, good breakfast, friendly staff, access to the bay shore trail around the bay. Beautiful flowers around the bay and the view of the bay. Would stay here again .
This hotel is a bit on the older side with spacious rooms but can use some updates. The service is very friendly and they offer a free shuttle to the airport. With a 10 min drive to SFO it's convenient. Food was very good and silver Marriott members get 5% discount on food. It's small but something. Internet is free and I was delighted that they give you make up remover towelettes since I always forget to pack mine.
