La Cantinella - SAN GIORGIO DEL SANNIO

We were in la cantinella al borgo, in apice vecchio, in front of the castle. we were 6 adult and our great daughter lylyly, 15th month old, who had a beautiful spaghetti. most of us have opted for pizza, and a few for pasta. Everything...of which was really the best. beautiful atmosphere, very good service, excellent quality of food. a place to not miss when they are near or visit them near attractions.

Close to calvi on the agriturismo villa luisa, we decided to venture an evening to apice vecchia, an old man who had been left after the devastating earthquake in Citalia nearly 40 years ago. the local community together with representatives of hospitality...the industry had begun to live new in this eerily fascinating borgo with its paved roads and crushed ruins of what once family houses overlooked by a majestic imposing, now renovated to keep special events. our selection of restaurant for our dinner time could not have been better in terms of location and menu. the service was warm and welcoming and we were accented on a table al fresco on the kiesels with a magnificent view of the castle. we have bypassed the pizza for an extraordinary meat menu and have been professionally guided through the various offers, and I must say we were not disappointed. the antipasto al Rè-Sharing plates offered many different flavors that reminded me of my roots and of which our party was well received by five people. In view of the quantity and variety we skipped the Primo dishes, just went to secondo with all meat dishes wonderfully prepared and accompanied by sides and a fine aglianico. could not manage this dessert, but the sweeter for me was the bill that came at around €95 for five people. very reasonable for quality, service and ambiente. highly recommended!

A nice, clean and cozy place. great appetizer and a good first. I am vegetarian and the waiter and cook have treated this in the most practical and kind way possible (for personal experience, it does not happen all the time). I will return with pleasure
