Moffitt Cafe Ucsf Medical Center

Got to the cafeteria at 6:40pm after a long day at the hospital. Was told I could get food because they were open till 7. Burger guy said he wasn’t making anymore food. Asked another employee if any of the other places were making food, and all he said was no, we close at 7. He snapped back at me when I expressed my frustration that it was still 20 minutes till 7. Very unprofessional and sorta made my day at the hospital even worse. Get to the cafeteria way before 7 if you hope to get food.

People who work here are loud and unprofessional. This should be a place peopke gwt peace from their reason to be at a hospital instead it makes it worse!

Food is nutritious tasty and the coffee is best iced here. The water options were a surprise perrier or coconut? How fancy.

THE BEST plant-based options. Delicious, sustainable, healthy, satisfying: how is that all even possible?!?!As a PhD student, I am so thankful that UCSF Moffitt has such resourceful and mission-oriented chefs. We came in a few minutes before close(sorry it’s our first time here and we didn’t know they close at 7pm. Everyone was so rude I was trying to get a coke and the cashier comes around and says that I can buy that somewhere else and takes it from my hands and puts it back. And mom was just trying to get a slice of pizza and the man said like 4 times she could grab one but to hurry because they’re closed they close at 7. And as she got one slice and I was standing by them and he started grabbing the other 4 to throw away. we’ve been waiting all day for my dad to get out of surgery we just wanted a quick meal just super disappointing. The cashier marie was so rude literally ignoring my moms questions and snatched her money from her hands and when my mom asked if that was all and asked for her receipt Marie threw it in the little trash can next to her and ignored her. I’m shocked we weren’t rude or demanding just trying to grab a snack and go. Not to mention it was like 6:55 when we walked in. Lock your doors if you’re closed.
