Rachmilowitz Rachmilowitz - Rhinebeck

My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant while visiting Rhinebeck over Memorial Day weekend. We were seated outside on the porch, which was lovely. We enjoy having an assortment of different bbq meats instead of just one large serving of one meat, and we wanted to try their made-in-house pastrami, so we ordered the Smoked BBQ Sampler appetizer and a pastrami sandwich (which comes with your choice of a side) to share. We had LOTS of food, and it was all AMAZING!! If you are a pastrami lover, you have GOT to try this melt in your mouth pastrami. I have honestly never had better! As our side with the sandwich, we chose the sweet potato fries, which came with a maple dipping sauce.... SO DELICIOUS!! We can't wait to come back again!

We have been here several times over the years as the bbq was always good, but have no been here since since COVID. We walked in and found no one at the entrance. We waited 5 and no employee ever showed up so we left. But maybe it was for the best as we saw the menu while waiting and the prices seem to have at least doubled. Hope the food and service improved.

If you are craving BBQ while in Rhinebeck, NY, this is the restaurant for you! Delicious BBQ with very tasty sides. Corn bread was delicious. Staff very friendly, professional and accommodating. Highly recommend .

Really enjoyed my meal here. The outdoor area is so nice ! The bbq was so good, and very different than other bbq. I’d say it was a mix of Texas bbq and Carolina bbq. Had a vinegar-y taste and was very smoky. Really enjoyed. The service was great and the atmosphere was so nice. They also have Tesla destination charging in the parking lot for customers, just ask the hostess to turn the charger on for you. Would return for sure.

We sat outside, but the bees and flies around the table were annoying. They even had fly tape around their toilet in their non-air-conditioned bathroom. They seemed to be everywhere! We ordered the baby back rib platter and pulled pork platter. We never had baby back ribs that were so tough, dry and tasteless. We tried pouring BBQ sauce on them, but it didn’t help. The sauce was nothing special. You would expect the meat to fall off of the bone, but that was not the case with these ribs. The pulled pork was lean, but also very dry and flavorless. We have been to several BBQ places and have had both dry rub and wet ribs, but this was by far the most disappointing. The only thing we enjoyed were the sweet potato fries. We left most of the food the way it was served. We should have complained, but we didn’t. Our mistake. The quality of the food does not justify the prices. Service was good, we just wish the food was as well. We will not return.
