Oak City Fish And Chips - Raleigh

I do not recommend this place at all, was very disappointed. I was super excited about it and had heard great things, but this place left much to wish. There are pieces for the price is absurd. $12 for roasted Calamari that came with ten sad pieces and some soft frits. The Kalamari was gummy. The fried fish basket came with at least one decent size fish, but still had 5 pin bones. TLDR: About expensive and sad portions.

This was my first time at the restaurant, and I ordered the lobster pop as well as the shrimp and fish basket. I have to say, it was the best I've ever had. From the freshness to the portion sizes and the seasoning, everything was a perfect 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back!

The mojo was all in the season. A touch of salty sweetness with accents of garlic and paprika. The catch of freshness, cooked golden delicious. Crispy and held together with texture, scallops, where nothing less fairs to the count! No one's cheating on the ruler! I'm curious with such a delicious fish roast coming out of the door, the house can't be absolutely empty when it comes to a homemade signature sauce, all that shake and bake!

It was very warmly welcomed. Eat there the second time. First time get lobster pop. It was fine until seasons. For size a small (tail) and price not worth it. Love it was crispy, just a little over boiled for me. I want to try it again without having it, so I don't have to have it again. But the fish, shrimps and fries were crispy as I like. Certainly satisfied with fish and shrimp basket. Love the spices you use very tastefully.?

I love the food here but as much as I paid I would have preferred a bigger portion. I feel skimp.
