Mami's Latin Style Rotisserie Chicken

My family absolutely enjoys our nights at Mami Nora’s, especially the delicious chicken, black beans and rice, and plantains. We typically get takeout and enjoy our meals at home. The only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is that the restaurant itself seems a bit worn. However, it's very kid-friendly!

They claim to close at 9 PM, but it’s best to arrive before 8 PM because the staff seems quite unmotivated. I walked in at exactly 8:23 PM and was informed that they only had white meat chicken available. This makes sense, as they likely have a limited amount prepared each day. We accepted that and moved on to the sides, but the woman at the register only mentioned about four options out of the total they offer. When we asked for fries, she said they were unavailable, and upon requesting fried plantains, it became clear they had them but simply didn't want to prepare them. When I inquired about it, she said it was because they were closing, even though it was still 35 minutes before their posted closing time. This kind of laziness is frustrating, as they seem more focused on leaving right at 9 PM than on providing good service. I really dislike establishments that boast about their customer service but fail to deliver. I’m glad to hear they’re relocating, but I won’t be visiting their new location.

Really good food my favorite thing were the Peruvian drinks. Apparently, this is the only place that serves them. Often, the music perks up the atmosphere even more.Food: 4/5

This place used to be good but they got rid of their green beans and the chicken was smaller and dry last time. Go to Alpaca if you want good Peruvian chicken and the amazing green beans that Mami's used to have.Food: 1/5
