Kula Lodge - Puunene

Amazing time, it’s been a while since I’ve been back and I’m glad got to go back and bring my kids. Chef and his staff have amazing things going on at this wonderful place! Great service and food, can’t wait to return.

I have lived on Maui for almost 40 years and have never, ever had a good meal at Kula Lodge! HOWEVER… The new owner has put together a dream team in the kitchen and dining room! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was first rate! The food was beautifully presented. The wine list is fantastic and there are some bargains to be had. They have a sommelier to help you and not push you!! We were so absolutely amazed at the change! The view which was always the draw at Kula Lodge was a second compared to the food! Now, the prices are “Wailea Prices” but well worth it!! When you consider that there is great live music it’s an excellent value. Here’s the rundown. “Benoit Jazz” on Wednesdays. George Kahumoku on Thursdays. Willy Wainwright does the early sets. Joie Yasha on Fridays Joel Katz and the Hula Honeys on Sundays. What could be better!!! Come for the food music and did I mention the view…..?

Amazing! The scenery was amazing, the food was incredible and our waiter was fantastic! Highly recommend this place! Don’t miss it.

Kula Lodge has a great vibe and is an excellent combination of retro Maui and upcountry charm. Prices are high, but it’s Maui and all restaurants are expensive. The pizzas are done in a wood-burning fireplace, and are really good. Advise waitstaff to let your pizza get caramelized and crusty if that’s the way you prefer- otherwise it’s served just at the point of done. Drinks are really well done at this place. They serve beautiful Mai Tai and a great assortment of local beer. Desserts are really good- so save room. A great place to take friends and family for special occasions.
