フィードバックを提供するA chill restaurant with a great variety of pizzas to try. Our favorite is a weird one the siracha shrimp but it's delectable. Would highly recommend! We've had pies pints In Morgantown and Charleston. Both great!
Upon stepping into pies and pints, we were greeted warmly, and asked whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. We chose inside and were soon seated at a table near the bar. Our server was engaging and knew his beers and menu pretty well. So while we were trying to decide what we wanted to have, my friends and I sampled a few beers, and their selections were excellent in flavor. The rosemary, roasted flat bread with goat cheese was a great start. This was soon followed by the three variations of salads, all of which were served up and presented quite nicely. The flavors of the antipasto salad were spot on with the traditional house dressing atop a fresh bed of mescaline mix, fresh meats and cheeses. The traditional house salad with grilled shrimp was equally delicious, nicely presented and quite flavorful. The third salad, being the Greek salad with a grilled steak was very nicely presented with plenty of feta olives, and all the goodness a Greek God would love to have on his salad. To finish out the meal we enjoyed the peanut butter and chocolate brownie layered cake, which looked delicious on the menu picture but was not quite represented as well on the plate. Everything else was spot on however, this desert had over cooked brownie, with a gritty grainy texture and very little depth in the brownie itself. It seemed like it had spent a little too much time in the oven and could've been cooked a lot less. However, it was not completely inedible just not something that we really enjoyed. This place is worth a definite return trip for the ambience the excellent beer selections, and the high quality salads presented. The pizza looked equally delicious so maybe the next trip we will give that a shot . Four stars due to average dessert presentation.
I do not recommend this restaurant. I have tried this place on several different occasions over the years and it has not gotten any better. My significant other has got food poisoning from this place. Stay away from the wings. The wings are all dry rub (not our thing either). Pizza is ok but has a super gritty base and crust. You will have this gritty/grainy material all over your lap, napkin, clothes, inside your car, and if you chose to take home, all over your counter tops. Their sauce is on the sour side. They have a large beer selection. Service isn't that great. A lot of college kids work here so they are abrupt, rude, and rush you with your order. As for the ambience, it reminds you of a college bar. Inside is very loud. Not a lot of surfaces in the building to absorb sound. The tables and chairs aren't very clean. I got a spinach salad and it was just a bag of prewashed spinach. Most of the spinach was wilted and a lot of grapes i ended up throwing out because they were mushy and appeared rotted.
Hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The pizza was flavorful, just the right amount of cheese, with a crispy crust that melted in your mouth. I actually wanted to try their wings, but my son insisted on getting the nachos, and we did. we devouverd the nachos till the last Crum. The only recommendation for the nachos would be to have them layer the veggies, bacon, and cheese rather than just having them on the top. This is because when we got to the lower part, we just ran out of toppings and cheese and ended up using up the salsa to finish them up. This was the first time I ever tried shrimp on Pizza. We ended up with some extra pizza, which still tasted amazing after a few hours. Service was excellent, and they had a variety of crowd of different age and ethnic groups. It's a college town, and luckily, I guess the college kids get out in the evenings and allow for some downtime during lunch. The restaurant was moderately busy and looked elegant with some outdoor seating. We chose indoors with the weather being a Lil chilly.
This place is not pet friendly at all. We asked if we can sit out on the outdoor patio area with our golden but they said no. It was a real bummer because we enjoy eating here but sadly to say if you plan on going anywhere on a nice day to eat with your dog this is not the place.
