The title says it all really, the location is brilliant, the start of a 7km loop around the alps next to a very pretty village, a cow farmer and his herd. Incredible views across the Alps and Lake Como and a great little restaurant with a good selection of food and drink. Toilet was a hole in the ground, not too unusual in Europe, but the floor was soaking wet and the whole place was very slippery...a worry when there's a hole down to the drains below!

This has to be the highest restaurant in the Lago di Como area. The views of the lake and the mountains are phenomenal. The food is outstanding. The best 'Stinko ' I 've ever eaten...fork tender, was 9 Euro, with a large helping of Pizzoccheri. The tricky drive up is worth it. Try to arrive at 1130, make reservations for 1330, and take the moderate walk to the top of Monte Croce. It 's about 45 minutes to the cross, and it 's a circular route. The views of the lake and mountains are spectacular. We will be back.
