Le Papillon Bleu - Pamiers

I have never written a restaurant review but this was so bad that I felt I had to.

The food here is okayVisiting Montpellier and I was invited to dine here with friends.

I cannot rave enough about the terrific food at Le Rajastan.

The food was very fresh and delicately seasoned and the presentation quite good. The salad was delicious and included a plethora of vegetables prepared in various ways...especially delectable was the roasted eggplant strips. We ordered a faux fillet as the main course and it was pretty tough; not a good cut of meat. The chef needs to upgrade his butcher. Still, all in all, the remainder of the meal was creative and very good, as was the service.

Found the restaurant by chance having driven from Toulouse. Menu was on chalkboard outside, and also described by Michel, the host, in our basic French and his English, with a little help from Google. All 3 courses were very tasty and well prepared to order - don't expect to hurry! A really great meal for our first night in France and only 50 euros for 2 including 1l of local wine.
