Toast - Norfolk

We visited Norfolk and chose Toast for Brunch. It was nice, hipsteristic place. The food was good. They have outdoor seating and a very sweet little garden.

Great selection of vegetarian and vegan options that are all full on flavor. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice and an indoor dining area on either side of the complex. Big plus, they have rotating boozy slushies that have yet to disappoint. Definitely a gem of Norfolk, with a central location, private parking lot (plenty of street parking as well) and lime bikes a plenty if that’s more your speed. Been here multiple times and cannot recommend enough.

What a gem right here in Norfolk! Funky place that is totally casual, fun and eclectic, but the food is the star of the show. Anything on the menu rocks. Carnitas bowl, anything with pulled pork great! We had spicy **** Marys with brunch that were great and had all the garnish veggies you could want. Order outside through a window, but you can eat outside on tables or take it in for table and booth dining. Reminds me of Austin, Tx, with the vibe and quality of the food. Close to several craft breweries in Norfolk's railroad section. Highly recommended!

Toast is a cute little brunch spot on the outskirts of downtown Norfolk. They have minimal space to sit indoors. 4 tables and a bar. They have also created several spaces outside for sitting, including an old shipping container. I did not order their grits but they came in a huge bowl and the fried potatoes also looked good. The Sangria slushy was stronger than I expected. I recommend the salmon plate for a light and fresh meal.

Toast was an excellent choice for brunch for us, a good variety of interesting cocktails and food choices. The atmosphere is lovely and friendly and very open feel. They do not offer a lot of indoor seating, however tons of outdoor seating with plenty of provided shade.
