However, we ended up spending between $35 and $50 per person, and unfortunately, the food just didn’t live up to our expectations. The setting was perfect for enjoying incredibly fresh lobster by the water, but it would have been much better if the food matched the beautiful surroundings. If the food had been more enjoyable, the high lunch prices would have felt justified. On a positive note, there were clean portable restrooms available in the back for public use, and plenty of shops to explore in the area.
The freshest lobster rolls in Newport! I really appreciate that they don’t use too much mayo, which lets the flavor of the lobster shine through. They offer a variety of chowders and the option to buy live lobster that you can have cooked for you—something I wish I had done while I was there. The prices are reasonable, and the seating is on a first-come, first-served basis at picnic benches. If you sit right by the water, you'll feel fully immersed in the coastal atmosphere—it’s like something out of a Jaws movie. I definitely recommend stopping by to give it a try!
Great place right in the water with many picnic tables in common style under shade. Very fast and efficient and friendly staff! The lobster roll was great, cold no hot options, but that wasn't excessively dressed at all. It has highlighted the lobster and you can say how fresh it is. Lobster Bisque is a MUST. Amazing. Full taste, generous with the lobster and so creamy. Yum. Best price about five lobsters. Very recommended.
Let's begin with the positives. The location is excellent, and the service is quick and friendly. There are plenty of outdoor seating options that offer beautiful views. The lobster meat was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Unfortunately, the bun was a cheap, stale hotdog bun instead of a crispy brioche roll, which was quite disappointing. To make matters worse, they served Lay's chips on the side—how hard would it be to make something fresh? Additionally, the prices for their live lobsters are 80% higher than at many other places, and there are plenty of lobster rolls out there that offer much better value.
The best lobster roll I?ve ever had! It?s a lot of lobster inside, chunks are big, very little mayo which is perfect. Surprisingly cheap coleslaw. Great and fast service.
