フィードバックを提供するI didn't think about making pictures of all courses and drinks, but it was a lot. We had a very good time here as the food and service were excellent. You need a reservation, but you're not rushing out what we're totally appreciated. The food and the cocktails were extraordinary. Good to wait and get the price.
The food is great. Standouts included the Rib Eye, Snapper, Brussels Sprouts, and Potatoes. We wouldn't bother with the Pork or Broccolini next time. The prices are a bit high for what you're getting, even though the quality is great. Nowhere was that more evident than the Carrots, where you get a mostly empty plate. Last, we were there for a birthday celebration, and it wouldn't have killed them to comp the slice of cake after we spent over $200 on food and drink. The cake was killer though, just like the rest of the meal. Benches were awkward height and not comfortable. Service was warm, attentive, and casual.
Staff is very friendly (shout out to T-Roy) and the chef who spoke to us was great also (01-24-21 inside joke). I highly suggest sitting at the chefs table (bar like when you walk straight in). We ate several single plates then got the pork chop as the main. It was freaking amazing.
On a Saturday night I walked into the Pelican Pig. I had no reservation and was offered a seat at the bar overlooking the open kitchen. It felt like a front row seat- I could see the cooks working, keeping the fires going, prepairing the dishes. Pelican Pig is not a place that caters to vegans. The cooks are masters of the grill and the menu offers meat and fish. I had the grilled mahi and a glass of the albarino from Spain. Great food, nice service. Nashville no doubt offers cheaper options, but I was very happy at the Pelican Pig.
My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant in East Nashville when we were looking for a place for dinner the night we arrived in Nashville. Our hotel was near the Oprey and this restaurant is about a 13 minute drive way. It is a trendy neighborhood restaurant. The food is wood grilled to order. We ate at the bar where Miranda, bartender, took great care of us. She recommended that we order plates to share as the food comes out as it ready. This was a great suggestion. We ordered the smoked red fish dip, short ribs, grilled mushrooms and the dirty rice stuffed trout. Everything was wonderful. The wines were great and Miranda makes wonderful cocktails. For dessert we had both the pumpkin cheese cake and the chocolate chip cookies. Both are very good. While the food, drinks, and service are wonderful this not a restaurant for vegetarians or vegans as even the vegetables had beef fat or dripping. This is not a cheap restaurant but well worth the prices. The drinks were quite reasonably priced.
