Our vegan family kicked off our day on the island with lunch at this restaurant. We ordered two speed sets and a fried tofu set, and everything was delicious. Although the staff spoke very little English, our server was incredibly sweet and understood what vegan means. I also showed her my vegan allergy card. If we lived nearby, we would definitely return! すべてのフィードバックを表示.

This charming little restaurant is run by an older lady who truly understands veganism. She offers a separate menu with four or five vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and she is more than happy to explain the ingredients in each dish. The sushi and tempura vegetables are absolutely delicious! すべてのフィードバックを表示.
This was the first place I've been to in Japan and although this place isn't vegan, they have a special vegan menu and they made a special and warm first impression for me on true Japanese food. The place is served by a few very nice elderly ladies which don't know english much, but it wasn't much of a problem and they quickly made sure we will get what we need. The place is really comfortable and cozy with a very lovely cat walking around although quite expensive
This restaurant is located across from the ferry station. If you go in and ask for the vegetarian/vegan menu they will gladly provide it to you! I verified with the owner that everything on that menu is vegan (and not a mix of vegetarian and vegan dishes), so order away! The food here is simple veggie Japanese food (rice, miso soup, cooked/fried vegetables and tofu), but it tastes good and is one of the better vegan options on the island. What made the difference for me was that I found the staff here to be especially lovely! They were very friendly and the older woman at the counter (perhaps one of the owners) made nice conversation with me about vegan food and my travels, so sweet!
For 2000 yen the lunch really wasn't good enough. They basically put some vegetables on cold rice, what's tasty but not worth 2000 yen to me.
People here are very nice. They speak a little English. Be sure to specify you don’t eat meat. They will give you a special menu.
