I had a wonderful day at the bar, watching football.

While driving down CA-93, my companions and I stumbled upon a small restaurant that quickly felt like home. The woman who managed the cooking, cleaning, and hosting duties greeted us warmly and served us some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. The food, particularly the potato pancakes and eggs, was exceptional. We got lost in conversation with other diners and lost track of time. Whenever we pass Mt. Shasta, we fondly remember Bartle Lodge and the fantastic experience we had there. It was a top-notch dining experience that I hope survives these difficult times. I highly recommend stopping by this great restaurant for a delicious meal, even if it means a bit of extra driving.

The food is delicious, with a standout item being the potato pancakes. The Bloody Mary's are top-notch and some of the best you'll ever find.

Amazing breakfast and lunch. I make a 20-mile detour just to enjoy the food. The chef is fantastic. The restaurant's mascot, Rufus, also does a great job as a bartender and waitress. The food is delicious and the portions are generous for the price. In my opinion, the best in Siskiyou County!
