The Pasta Shop - Marquette

This place is incredible! We lived in Chicago for 13 years and never encountered lasagna this good. Our daughter insists that the cheese ravioli is the best she’s ever had in her life. The sauce is outstanding, and the portions are generous. Everything was absolutely delicious, including the garlic bread that accompanied the meal. There are tables available for outdoor dining, perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. We’ve truly discovered a gem!

The pasta shop is primarily a take-out place, despite stating on their website that they offer both dine-in and carry-out options. The food was decent, but I found it to be overpriced for the portion sizes, which felt more like lunch than dinner. The dishes also had a heavy hand with the garlic. My mother ordered the Thursday special, which was spinach lasagna accompanied by a side salad, only to discover a large piece of burnt cheese mixed in. It was hard as a rock and could have caused her to break a tooth. The staff mentioned that this issue had occurred before, although it hadn’t been as significant in the past. Overall, I wouldn’t consider returning.

I found this hidden gem of a pasta shop late on a Tuesday when I was very hungry. The staff treated me like royalty and made me the best, largest chicken sandwich I've ever seen! It tasted incredibly fresh and amazing, and clearly, the food is top-notch. However, what truly stands out is the outstanding customer service here!

I want to rate this higher, it tasted great at the first bite or two until I noticed all the oil. Most of the food was soaking in it. Maybe there was a mistake or maybe this just wasn't the dish for me.
