Gorge Restaurant - Launceston

I've been here a couple of times now. Love their food platters and the atmosphere is fantastic. This is fast becoming my new favourite go to

Cute meal together. Stunning view from dining room. Happy and helpful staff. Smaller output - serves oily garlic bread with soup, which in turn was too salty.

We had lunch here and enjoyed the atmosphere. Great location, very professional and friendly service, extensive selection of tassia wines and ciders. Modern take the 3 Veg and protein flour, but did not like how to cook my vegetables.

We had a lovely lunch sitting by the fire and watching the peacocks wandering around outside. My mushroom & leek pastry was lovely. Full of flavor. And my dessert was a very sophisticated kind of chocolate ripple cake with meringue and was one of the nicest desserts I have ever tasted. Lovely environment with good service.

The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff politely answered our questions and took our order. It was lovely and warm in the restaurant by the open fire. Our meals took a long time to come out but our steaks were beautifully cooked so that explains the wait. The menu prices are right up there, but the food and service is really good.
