Zaman Mediterranean Cafe - Laplace

Over priced and the portions are small. The food taste like packaged food. I ordered take out and did not want the bread, rice or humus due to being on Keto. I ask for extra salad. When I got home after paying $30 for two dinners the portions were small and not enough food to feed a small child. Will not eat there again.

I received raw shrimp in my salad, and when I brought the issue to the manager's attention, they were unhelpful and confrontational. I found the establishment to be unwelcoming and discriminatory.

I used to work here, so let me be straightforward. The cleanliness of this place leaves a lot to be desired. The garbage disposal has a horrible smell, reminiscent of decaying teeth. There are indeed mice; I've personally had to clean the traps under the shawarmas and stoves. The back area is infested with flies. One employee sweats excessively due to the AC issues and doesn’t wash his hands after wiping his brow. They struggle to pay their staff, and the floors are rarely cleaned properly after spills of grease or food; they only sweep without mopping. The freezer often contains old food. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and to top it off, the food isn’t even good.

I used to visit Zaman's quite frequently while I was living in Laplace. Since moving to Metairie, it had been a few months since my last visit. Today, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, and it was even better than I remembered. Thank you!
