Seleste's Authentic Kitchen Catering

I am a returning customer! Last weekend, I had the opportunity to try out different grill restaurants in the area. So far, Selestes Authentic Kitchen and Catering stands out as the top choice. The other place I visited served dry, overcooked ribs. I am looking forward to trying their homemade desserts on my next visit. I can't wait to bring my family here when they are in town. Thank you, Selestes, for the fantastic meal and keep up the great work!

Most of the food was cold, even though it was being warmed up in a microwaved. While the food was Edible and overpriced, the service was awful. The kid working there had an attitude and was not very respectful. He was dismissive and rude. He refused acknowledge the concerns of my friend who felt her PorkChops were undercooked. He argued and was snippy even saying “I have worked here for a year and half, I know a done PorkChop. It was passed temp, it temp at 200. We tried to explain to him that parts of the meat was translucent and still pink in places. Nevertheless we paid the $31 for food that ended up going to garbage.

My Freind and I were visiting in Augusta we decided to give Celestes soul food restaurant a try. I preferred fried pork chops they were thick cut bone in but they were not cooked thoroughly I asked politely if the waiter could cook them a little longer he refused and argued with me about the undone pork chops. I was totally disappointed and turned off to food. I will never ever patronize Celestes Soul Food in my lifetime nor would I recommend that place to anyone. I don’t know how u received a 5 star rating but I give you a rating of one star and he doesn’t deserve that .

We found it by Googling restaurants near me driving out of gate 5 of Fort Gordon. Excellent find. Authentic is an understatement. Vegetables are fresh. Entres are cooked to order. Eclectic combination of foods and flavors, like the two sauces that go with the Belgian waffles and fried chicken: maple syrup dashed with hot sauce and strawberries blended with confectioners sugar. Vegetarian options available. Two paws up/finger licking good award from family puppy on arrival home.

This place is not been open long but the food is great if you like homade.its a home atmosphere with a personal touch.the food is excellent and is made from scratch no boxes no cans not even when it comes to the collards fresh and homemade all the way.try it you'll like.
