Kkabob - Haymarket

I ordered a Super Dish to take away, which included chicken and beef with brown rice. Overall, it was pretty good, although the rice was slightly burnt. I received some side dishes that I wasn't particularly interested in or wanted. The service was decent and fairly polite, but I can understand why some customers might not be satisfied with it. It seems like this place is more geared towards carryout rather than dining in.

I placed a to-go order for three kabobs: chicken breast, chicken thigh, and a chicken and lamb combo. The order took around 30 minutes to prepare, but I expected the wait, so it wasn't an issue. The food is authentically Afghan and brought back memories of meals I’ve had in Egypt and Afghanistan. I enjoyed the smoky charcoal flavor of the pitas and kabobs. All the kabobs were well-seasoned and moist, and the white rice was tasty, which aligns with my experience of traditional dishes. While I didn't absolutely love it, it was good, and I would definitely return if I were in the area and had a craving.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. First of all, I ordered seven servings of chickpeas, but the picture only shows three. When I called the restaurant, the manager was incredibly rude to my mother. The person I spoke with was highly unprofessional and behaved poorly over the phone. I've been a customer for two years, but this is the first time I've experienced such terrible service. The quantity of food was noticeably less than what they usually provide. Overall, the service was atrocious. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.
