Best damn sweet corn bread you’ll ever have, with the best butter to go with it. Everything else is good too. I gave it only four stars because it took a long time before a server came to the table. But after that the server was very attentive. Also, Hartsville has a very charming and surprisingly lively downtown. Plenty of nice places to dine and drink within walking distance.

This is a fantastic spot for a delicious dinner. I really enjoy the holiday decorations, especially the real Poinsettias and the Christmas music.

**Old Review:** I originally gave this place three stars because while the food is good (about 4 to 5 stars), the service was terrible (around 0 to 1 star). We ordered two appetizers: roasted pimientos and crab dip; three entrees: house salad, spinach salad, and shrimp and grits; one side: broccoli salad; and two desserts: chocolate cobbler and crème brûlée. I specifically asked if the broccoli salad contained onions, and I made it clear that I didn’t want it if it did. The waitress first brought out the pimientos but didn’t bring the crab dip and didn’t explain why. Soon after, she brought out the salad and shrimp and grits along with the broccoli salad. She mentioned that the broccoli salad did have onions, at which point I declined it. When I inquired about our missing appetizer, she informed me it was still in the oven, and by that time, we didn’t want it anymore. There was no indication that the appetizer would take so long or that it might arrive after our main courses. I’ve never encountered a situation where an appetizer comes out after the meal. Additionally, the phone at the hostess desk is extremely loud and distracting while dining. It’s unfortunate because this place is one of Hartsville’s few nice non-chain restaurants.

The maple-glazed salmon is excellent, just like all the dishes here. They are particularly renowned for their soups and amazing muffins. The ambiance is beautiful as well. For those interested in drinks, there's a bar available. They also provide a convenient drive-thru pickup service. My only complaint is that they are closed for lunch on Saturdays.
