Waffle House - Goldsboro

The service was terrible and very slow. My order was incorrect, and the staff had an attitude about it.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited. If the manager can simply watch customers walk in and then walk right back out, it says a lot about the staff. At the very least, they should keep the place clean...

The best breakfast ever! I was in my truck and headed over to Waffle House around 3 a.m. I ordered a large plate of deliciousness, and then some hash browns with extra toppings. Mmm-mmm!

The food was good, but the service was lacking. Only one staff member, a young woman with a braid, was attentive and took my order. The other two women seemed to be chatting and disappeared for a while. They did check in on me briefly to take my drink order, but then they vanished again, and I never received my drink. The situation was quite chaotic. I prefer to go to a place where the staff is focused on their work.

When you visit a Waffle House, you tend to feel like you've seen one, you've seen them all. The decor was very much the same as I’ve encountered in various locations, and the menu didn't offer any surprises. During my visit, it was a slow day, which allowed the staff to be particularly attentive to our needs. Everyone was friendly, and our waitress, Jessica, ensured we had everything we required. The food was served hot, and everything tasted great. I prefer my hashbrowns crispy, and the cook nailed it. My only complaint was that the tables weren’t as clean as I had hoped, given the low customer volume. There were crumbs and small bits of food scattered on the menu. However, the restroom was clean, which I appreciated, as I tend to avoid eating from unclean tables. The only reason I deducted a star was due to the tables not being completely free of crumbs; otherwise, I would highly recommend this place.
