During my visit to see my parents, I discovered this hidden gem on Yelp! The service was excellent and the homemade food was delicious. They serve generous portions, as you can see from my photos. This restaurant is budget-friendly as well. The waitress was incredibly friendly and the place was very clean. Even though I am not from the area, my parents will definitely be returning soon. It is worth noting that on weekends they only offer an expanded breakfast menu, so if you are looking for lunch, it is best to visit during the week. Next time, I plan to try the grilled prawn omelette, while my dad is already planning on returning tomorrow for the salmon omelette.

Our experience at H&J was pleasant. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating which allowed us to bring our dogs along. The waiter and waitress were very kind, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the French toast, which was delicious, while my grandma enjoyed the waffle with their freshly squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately, my husband's biscuits and gravy were bland and almost tasteless. It was disappointing, even after adding salt to improve the flavor. The restaurant offers a variety of sausage choices, but we were disappointed that there was no simple breakfast sausage option. The chicken apple links were the closest thing available, but they were also bland. The casual decor of the restaurant is not visually appealing, so it may not be the best place to impress someone. The highlights of our visit were the tasty breakfast options and the excellent service.

I visited H J restaurant for the third time recently. My first visit was in 2019 and the food was delicious when we sat inside. However, during my second visit in 2021 when we sat outside, the food was mediocre and the service was lacking. My most recent visit in August 2023 was disappointing. We sat outside at uncomfortable tables with bad chairs and the food was terrible. The orange juice tasted like frozen concentrate, the eggs were okay, the chicken sausage was overcooked and flavorless, and the potatoes had no taste at all. Even the avocado seemed to have lost its flavor, as if it was frozen and microwaved. The service was also lacking, with the waiter never checking in on us. The price for two breakfasts, a coffee, and orange juice was close to $50, which was not worth it. I'm not sure if the restaurant is under new management or if they just gave up, but I won't be returning. I'm giving it two stars only because the parking was convenient and the jam for the toast was decent.

Excellent breakfast and lunch, great service and very friendly staff, good vibes, and the best part of it is that prices are extremely reasonable. My wife and I have a date for brunch every Sunday, we try to get there right at 8:30 am(opening time) in order to get our fav table, highly recommended!! Hey
