Gastheer met veel kennis van zijn dranken, mooi dat ze een non alcholic pairing aanbieden, dit is zeker een aanrader. Mooie ronde, verfijnde smaken. Wij komen zeker terug. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €100+
Food was spectacular, so wonderful aromas and innovative mix of kitchens. The menu is always inspired by Asian cuisine, we had a lot of Japanese ingredients that were absolutely wonderful. Wine pairings have actually increased the dishes even more. The staff is competent and friendly. Prices are more than honest with the quality of food and service. We definitely recommend going there and coming back. Good to note that it is served not less than 3 hours from your arrival in your last dish. Restaurant with about 25 seats, so we recommend booking well in advance.
Had a great meal at Portfolio with a good matching wine arrangement. We started with a linseed crispy with smoked oil cream. That cream was tasty, the crispy nice, but a bit much in terms of quantity. The same was actually true for the bread, good, nice and fresh and crispy, but a bit much. After that it really took off. As a kind of appetizer there was tuna tartare with umami cream and seaweed Great, great, you would actually like to have two, one to eat in one bite to really taste the flavor combinations and one to pull apart and dissect. The accompanying champagne was unknown and more than top. The Hamachi with tomato, chili and wasabi was heavenly delicious. Fits in a star menu. A feast for the eyes and taste. The monkfish, always a difficult fish to cook well, with asparagus and miso, was also delicious. Then the wagyu A5, with garnish of eggplant, oxtail and ponzu, among other things. Another topper. More than great. Delicious. The dessert of strawberry, pine nuts and salty ice cream.., normally not really tasty but in this combination, great The madeleine with good coffee topped it off. The service was very good, friendly, not too popie-jopie, not too formal, but very knowledgeable.
This restaurant is so good, the food is really special, they have used many fine ingredients (Lummer, Langoustine, Wacholder etc.) mixed with Asian flavors and techniques. The service was also perfect, not overdue, but very high quality. There was only one set menu at 85 euros, with the possibility of full or semi-glass wine pairings.
What a beautiful place. Great people, great food. I'm back for a night with champagne, this Thai oyster and your incredible playlist
