フィードバックを提供するI had a wonderful experience at this restaurant for my birthday. The scenery was beautiful, which added to the overall atmosphere. However, they could have done a better job of keeping our birthday party together. Despite that, the food was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the bread pudding for dessert.
Always fantastic! We recently celebrated an adult birthday there with the grandchildren, and it was amazing! The youngest, who usually only eats mac and cheese, devoured the prime rib! Everything is delicious!
I 'm older, Stanford is older. This is still a nice stop, likely at times a very nice place. With today 's prices $35 with tip for great burger/fries/iced tea) its nice to go somewhere that rewards that with solid execution on the food. The service is still very good, likely top for this segment of restaurant. The decor, and fit and finish of the room remains very nice, right on the verge of elegant. They had the fireplace going today, a sunny but cool Monday. I came in with a group of co-workers that seems to be a theme). I can make the observation that something is a bit more casual about the people that come. I 'm not at all trying to wish this place into snobbery- that 's what I have liked about it, the democracy of anyone that can afford it here can feel comfortable. There is a slice of clientel that has the money or credit). I saw more jeans today, I saw more flannel shirts. I still saw suits/jackets. ties, dresses and nice shoes- so the 2014 version that I first encountered is still here. I suspect dinner is a bit of a different crowd and dress code. The next time we need a special night, we will have to come in the evening.
It's crazy I haven't updated Stanford Grill's review in all these years since I must have come back here dozens of times since the first review and enjoyed every one of them. This location has always been nice and clean and cozy during my visits and my food always comes out hot and prepared as described by the very friendly and attentive team at Stanford Grill. They used to do a delicious lobster Thermidor and butternut squash spaghetti I haven't seen on the menu in a while but I still love the chicken pot pie, rattlesnake pasta, while I'm not inclined to order grilled salmon or rotisserie chicken out at restaurants often, theirs are always well executed. The star of the show here is the signature bread pudding dessert. I can't think of a bread pudding i've enjoyed more than theirs and with the grey goose peartini cocktail to accompany dessert, makes the perfect nightcap.
I make sure I make reservations for Stanford Grill. Service is always great as well as the food. Never disappointing. The atmosphere is always enjoyabl.
