10 stars for every category. This place was outstanding. The exquisite decor, the service, and the incredible Indian dishes. We never had to ask for a refill. The food was all cooked the way we all liked it. I asked for zero spice added to the chicken tikka masala and it was perfect...a slow heat but still mild enough for my mild preference. My husband ordered the chicken mikhani level 2 and said he actually should have gone with a higher number. Wonderful food and the best Naan we've ever had. They offered us kahlua shots compliments of the chef. The atmosphere was fun and casual though it appears to be quite fancy and formal. I will come back for sure when I'm in the area again.

If I could give the service 6 stars, I would. What an amazing restaurant. The food was great, lots of flavor. We got the Tikka masala, chicken mahkani and several different Naan. So so good. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great dinner at this Indian restaurant. They offer a wide range of delicious vegetarian dishes. The ambiance is elegant, with a decor that feels like an Indian palace. The food was tasty, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine.

Royal Taj is an upscale Indian Restaurant in Columbia, MD. The Indian Decor is Beautiful! The service is excellent! The servers are very attentive, and they keep the customers water glasses re filled while dining. Chicken Tikka Masala, Meat and Meatless Samosas, and Chicken Biryani, are my favorites. The Mango Lassi is also tasty.
