Hampton Street Vineyard - Columbia

Came to Hampton Street Vineyard for a week day lunch. There was no wait and several empty tables. After placing our order, it took nearly an HOUR BEFORE OUR FOOD ARRIVED. 3 out of 4 of us had ordered their lunch special of soup/sandwich. The food itself was very average. The staff was at least apologetic and offered us a free dessert. So disappointing....

The online order wasn’t placed until I arrived. The host said it was because “everyone” came in at once. The restaurant was essentially empty. There were a total of 4 tables. There were a lot of fruit flies around the mixers and mats at the bar.

The Branzino special was EXCELLENT!!!!!!! My husband had the steak au poivre which he said was also VERY good. Service was great and the atmosphere of this restaurant is quaint and personal. Bartender is talented as well; so, all round a very nice evening!!

Drinks were delicious, meal was yummy. The bread was meh, but A+ on all the rest! Also beat tomato bisque in town.

Nice restaurant, but small portions and overpriced for the value. Chicken/Steak was good. Sides are average.
