River Inn Grill - Cloquet

This place was dogey but the weather being nice brings it up a star. I attended a wedding here and the staff are the best part of place. They've got smiles while being very short staffed for the number attendees. The drinks are reasonably priced, the food is actually very good! The appetizers especially stood out: BBQ wings, hot wings, cheese curds, jalapeño and bacon cheese curds, onion rings, chicken strips all very tasty. They got a nice fire pit and being adjacent to the river helps too.

I really like the space/view in the restaurant. I didn't try the food but I hear it is delicious! I hear the burgers in particular are great. Our server only came around one time to ask for drinks which was too bad because I would have bought a few drinks but she just never came back.

It's an okay place.. Menu was simple but food was good. No real wait staff so had to keep running to the bar for drinks. I understand that everyone is short staffed but I do feel they could have paid a bit more attention to the people not at the bar.

I was shocked this establishment allowed an angry, drunken patron to ruin the family friendly environment of Bingo Afternoon. It is a gross misdemeanor under MN statute 340A.702 to overserve a patron. Management is lucky that I will no longer be visiting this establishment or next time I would need to do my community duty and inform the police department. As for other would-be patrons, I recommend not risking your children's safety in a parking lot with drunk drivers.

Wow the salad was just sad for $14!. Better off going to Carmen’s to get 3x the amount ,taste and quality for $10. Yikes.
