We were pleasantly surprised to discover this gem on our way back to the city. The interior is charming, the food is exceptional, and the service is incredibly friendly. Sterling, the owner, has infused a genuine New Orleans atmosphere into Newburgh. We will definitely be returning!

We had the burnt tips, which came with an apple fennel slaw, and we also enjoyed the pappardelle with oyster mushrooms in a Parmesan sauce, enhanced by fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, and heirloom tomatoes. Overall, the dishes were delightful! While it is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth it. I can definitely see myself dining at Mama Roux again in the future.

Hip, warm and friendly all at the same time. This place is a gem. Great food, great staff and wonderful ambiance. Specialty cocktails were delish as was the fried chicken (moist, not heavy or oily), tuna Niçoise salad was a large portion of seared, clean tasting tuna. The Brussels sprouts are not to be missed. We all loved the menu—-wish we could have been able to try more. Next time!

I went with some friends to see the drag show it was amazing!! The food was fantastic the entertaining beyond my expectations!!! Definitely will go back !
