These reviews were probably left by self-centered yahoos who think the world revolves around them. It’s a small place, yes.. but I have never had bad food here, nor bad service, and the manager is just fine as he is, thank you. Fabulous food.. although one of these days I’m going to find the Norwegian french toast available. : Always seem to be out by the time I get there.. but the omelette is to die for. Plenty of food, I can never finish the whole thing, especially if I want to save space for one of the fabulous cookies they have in the bakery case. Pack your attitude at the door, you won’t be disappointed with the food and service here.
We were in Charlevoix for a wedding and came across My Grandmother's Table. Loved the name, so we thought we'd give it a try. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this quaint, friendly little place. The blueberry pancakes were amazing and the portion was quite large. You could probably split it between two people. The French toast and breakfast vegetables (I'd not heard of vegetables for breakfast) were DEVINE. A tasty combination of sweet French toast with savory veggies on the side. You've got to try this dish!!! We live 9 hours from Charlevoix but I would consider making the drive to visit My Grandmother's Table again.KMG, New Castle IN.
Wonderfully tasty Norwegian French Toast Casserole Omelets with roasted winter vegetables! Their breakfast/brunch options were great. (No regular lunch/dinner options were available since they were short a chef. The to go pastries were exquisite.
Ordered a NYC Bacon egg cheese. Price was $10 not $8 as seen on this site. I expected a nice sandwich for $10. Not the case. Extremely underwhelming. It was egg and bacon on a hamburger bun, not a nice bun either. A flat one like in a 79 cent pack from the grocery store. That’s it. I tasted no seasoning. I nicely complained and the counter person and cook looked at me, didn’t say a word, then looked at the menu almost as if to defend using a flat hamburger bun. I would expect this level of cooking and service at a gas station.
The food was so delicious. This is real home cooked food with whole food ingredients not canned or processed. Welcoming space and charming, helpful staff. A delightful experience.Dietary restrictions: They kindly answered our questions about gluten, corn, and soy ingredients and cooking oils.
