Fresh Off The Hook - Boise

I actually really liked this place. Food was spot on. Atmosphere was great. I would have given 5 stars except when I asked for another appetizer to go i wad informed they had closed their kitchens 50 minutes early. I thought was especially weird when, 10 minutes later, they brought out more food for another table. Then our waitress hands our bill to us and asks, anything else I can do for you? . I didn 't respond but i wanted to say something along the lines of, yeah the appetizer I asked for earlier . All well whatever. Just didn 't make sense to me.

The atmosphere for seafood is incredible. The food is excellent, delicious and hot off the grill. Loved the halibut and cod (fish and chips fries). A lot of ppl. Only concern is wait time from order to delivery. I would rather had the wait time for great food.

The food is always fantastic , and the atmosphere makes you feel like your on the coast !!

If you want fresh seafood, this is your place! I was raised on fresh fish caught by my grandpa, so I'm pretty picky about seafood and this place didn't disappoint. Having just moved here from the coast I wasn't sure we would find a good seafood place in Idaho but the food was great, friendly staff that kept the refills coming without asking and you won't find a nicer owner. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the fish and chips. I was amazed that it wasn't greasy at all, everything was crispy and full of flavor. We also tried the calamari which came with THE best tartar sauce as well as cocktail sauce. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!

I got take out. The food here was decent. I had a salmon taco and a shrimp taco with chips and a salad. I thought the tacos were pretty good but everything else was boring. The woman who served me was rude and unhelpful. The atmosphere felt like a typical fast-casual restaurant.
