Carmela's - Bloomington

Their omelets, eggs, any style, are the BEST I've EVER had, and I have traveled abroad. All the food I've eaten is delicious, NO COMPLAINTS. Carmella's baked goodies melt in your mouth. I like her Red Velvet Cupcakes better than all I've had. They are so moist, they don't need any frosting. All of her cupcakes/muffins are yummy. Her Cinnamon Rolls and pie crusts are flaky and all her pies are so good. Her passion for baking is in every luscious bite, and that's why they taste so totally out-of-this-world. The restaurant is inviting, clean, has very friendly, efficient waitresses, and your food comes very quickly, and it's ALL GREAT.

Great service, delicious food, reasonable prices. I had the Lomo Burrito with the red mole while my wife had the ham and the pig Cuban sandwich. Both were great. I'm sorry people are eating near Jimmy Johns.

If you are looking for a really delicious breakfast with a Hispanic flair, Carmela is definitely the place for you. My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was some of the best in Bloomington/Normal! I hope they are in business for a long time so that we can continue to enjoy their amazing food!!

This is a perfect spot for a homemade meal made in record time!!! We went for breakfast and had our food in under 10 minutes, hot and delicious. I loved the French toast, which was served with a cinnamon butter. Will definitely come here again!

Excellent food and very friendly and excellent service. We had the banana French toast and the gyro omelette. Both were fantastic. The French toast was especially phenomenal; they use banana bread instead of regular bread, with slices of bananas on top. It's so good you don't even need syrup. The gyro omelette had tomatoes in it, making it less heavy. I liked that the tatziki sauce came on the side instead of on the omelette, smothering it. We'll definitely be back next time we drove through this town.
