Taqueria El Porton - Bloomington

My fiancé and I enjoyed your food very much. We got the steak fajita burrito and some steak gorditas and they were delicious and filling... the wait for the food was a bit long, but we had no idea they did carry out, now that we know we will call aheadand get our delicious meal that way.

Excellent service and fantastic food, the high rating is well deserved.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and didn’t even bother to sit down. I placed a to-go order 30 minutes in advance, but when I arrived, I waited an hour for my food. I understand that places can get busy, but it’s simply unacceptable to keep a customer waiting like that. To make matters worse, when I finally got to the counter, my food was ready, but the two waitresses were rude, clearly overwhelmed by their workload. Just because you’re busy doesn’t mean you can treat customers poorly.

I can't comment on the authenticity, but I can definitely say that we had a delicious and hot meal during our visit to Bloomington today. The salsa was very well-flavored—my wife found it a bit spicy, but I absolutely loved it. The guacamole was more to her liking. As soon as I noticed they offered cow tongue, I knew I had to try it. I ordered the cow tongue burrito, and the meat was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. My wife had the fish tacos, which she really enjoyed. Our toddler had fun picking apart the tacos, and I sampled the beef taco, which was excellent as well. The service was wonderful too. Whenever we pass through town again, we will definitely be back here!

The food was outstanding and reasonably priced! The staff were very friendly as well. It can get a bit crowded at times, though.
