El Burrito Loco - Big Rapids

The decor was bright and funny and the waitress was very friendly. but unfortunately the food was missing in a little bit. I ordered the jalapeno rellenos appetizer, but they only ended up as jalapeno poppers, which she could get from the food freezer section. as my meal I got a burrito, and it came only with one that was very small (in a Mexican restaurant near my house they are this size, but the dinner comes with 3) eating tasted all well, it was only small for the price. the chips and salsa were good and fresh. I also had the mango margarits that were very tasty. I would go again, would simply not spend money for the appetizer and order more for my meal.

I’m from the West Coast so maybe I’m spoiled. This was the WORST Mexican food I’ve ever had. Salsa was like pizza sauce. Chips were unsalted, cold and stale. Everything that came to our table was left on the table after a few bites. I’m a white girl, my husband said I bring a stronger game than this.

I was warned that when paying with a credit card and leaving a cash tip to make sure you put a zero on the tip line. We did this; however, EL BURRITO LOCO in Big Rapids decided to put a zero on top of our zero to make an 8. When I called them, because $8 is not worth the 30-minute drive, the “manager” I talked with said he could not pull up records from 6 days ago to prove or disprove this issue. For the last five days my bank showed a pending amount that was correct, so I had thrown my receipt away.I told him I am not concerned with the $8, but if It were my business and I was the manager I would want to know this occurred. HOWEVER, this is a family-owned restaurant so I knew nothing would become of this issue. I will NEVER go back there…

One of the best meals I've had in a while, honestly. Charming atmosphere, fast service, et cetera. If you need a recommendation, I got the chimichangas (one chicken, one beef) and left feeling incredibly satisfied. Would absolutely go again any tine.

I went to El Burrito as I often do. It was a Saturday night a pretty busy. When the hostess got to me, I told her I was a party of one. I know her. I eat there often. She offered me a seat at the bar. I declined. She said that they did not have room for a single diner. I said that I had been eating there for 16 years and that I would not return.
