Joe's Irish - Beacon

Good bar in a good area to have a drink. Appropriately expensive and nice bartenders.

This place is a true hidden gem of a dive bar, and that's exactly what I love about it. We stopped by on a Sunday after exploring Beacon, especially since we had a disappointing experience with a bartender at Max's.

This is a classic dive bar, but it's clean and doesn't have a smoky atmosphere. It's popular with the locals. The tap beer selection is limited, and I didn't try any food, so I can't comment on that. There is a pool table available for some entertainment.

I don't understand the negative reviews—Joe's is a great local pub! Today, I visited with a large group that included everyone from 4 to 64 years old, and we were all warmly welcomed by both the staff and other patrons. The bartender was incredibly kind and even offered snacks for the kids. The drink prices were also very reasonable. The restrooms were clean, and there was a jukebox to enjoy. What more could you ask for? It was a fantastic experience!

I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about; we visited and the bartender was incredibly friendly.
