George B. Dorr Museum Of Natural History

George B. Dorr Museum is worth a visit. My daughter loves animals so we decided to check the museum on a rainy morning during our week stay in Bar Harbor. We were very impressed by the variety of animals and details created by previous students and professors. While it is a small museum, it is to explore with beautifully preserved animals and a good amount of hands on objects.

This is an excellent museum! The student-created exhibits are incredible, and we were all amazed by the poses and scenes they brought to life. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable as well. This is definitely a must-visit, especially if you have children! Our kids absolutely loved the interactive Tide Pool!

A quaint two-room museum filled with a variety of fascinating exhibits. Donations are appreciated.

Wonderful small museum that offered many ordinary exhibits, taxidermies and even a small touch tank! Great resource and our children loved it. It's free, but we donated $5/person.

So cute to see all of the taxidermy animals from the area. My niece loved it.
