Descanso Beach Club - AVALON

On Descanso Beach we had a cabana to relax on the beach for our experience on Catalina Island. The service was great and very relaxing. The beach even offered Wifi so we were able to stream some music easily as well which I thought was cool. I really enjoyed the Cabana Colada the dark rum float, whipped cream, and pineapple was very delicious in the blend they had served. The Cabana and beach were clean with convenient nearby restrooms shops food options as well.

Walked to the Beach Club from Downtown Avalon. Really nice atmosphere and just gorgeous setting. Ordered lunch and drinks at beach bar. We had an enjoyable time sitting outside on a beautiful day just relaxing. Dont know if it is off se3, but beach bar closed at 3pm, which seemed bit early as place was pretty full. Very nice day and recommend a stop here.

Beachy fun. Great location on Catalina Island. Bar and seating is on the beach. So nice. Cabana rentals look beautiful. I’m sure if it’s a sunny day this place is amazing. Sadly we hit it on a cold windy day. Excellent nachos. Enjoyed by all. Cocktails ok. Skinny margarita good. Not great. You don’t have to pay for the beach fee if you eat at the bar/restaurant.

Mind-blowing day trip. Cabanas on the beach on on the grass. Great finger food and Descanso beach theme named spirits. Attentive wait staff. Definitely plan ahead for day trip or possibly overnight stay. Check the Avalon weather forecast and pack for hot and breezy weather. The best escape from city life. Perfect day for sun bathing by either laying on the beach or walking and taking in the sights. Bring sunblock because even if it's overcast, those ultraviolet rays will still tan your hide lol. Something for everyone. Great food, spirits and shopping. There are public showers and towels available for rent. If only you could bottle fresh sea air and take it back to the main land with you. Just a beautiful day. Take a dramanine 15 minutes before getting on the boat. Check with your medical care provider for appropriate dosage. Although it is sold over-the-counter, children get motion sickness too.

Location: 5 stars. Located the private area of the beach, not nearly as crowded as the main area. The view from the presidential suite was amazing!!! Service: 5 stars for Angel, Julian and Tara. Both were wonderful, great with not only ourselves but our neighboring cabanas as well. He was constantly checking in on us. We had a slight hiccup with our reservation on Monday but the manager. Roberto was so friendly and stopped by our cabana #2 the following day. Thank you for your exceptional customer service, we will be back to see you guys! Food: 5 stars. I ordered nachos, coconut shrimp, chips salsa, DBC burger, tacos and wings. Everything was cooked very well.
