My son and I sat at the high bar, where we were just showed up by staff, never greeted or offered utensils etc. After about 5 minutes we just ignored the restaurant. I will not return to this place and there is another less than a mile away that offers great service.
I had to clean my table right away because there was still food after they were wiped. I always wanted to get our drinks. During the order, waitress says I am back, have food to supply.
Stop for a snack for the street. I had a long drive home and it was already 3 am, there were no other customers there right now, but a few came shortly after. I order a beacon and cheese on Texas Toast. Was the best I had eaten in a very long time from the restaurant ANY.
The service was slow in this waffle house, and I couldn't hear the server she could speak bearishly. My wife's bacon came on a fat dirty plate. Had to ask for Waffle who came to dinner. You could smell that you're burning. Such a shame they are right next to I-20 with a large parking lot. The Waffle Houses on North-Belair and Washington Streets are much better. This is supposed to be a company business, doesn't look good.
My husband and I went with our sons yesterday for breakfast for my son 's birthday. My meal and my boys ' meals were satisfactory, even though they did get our order wrong. They actually gave us additional items that we did not order (two pieces of bacon, hashbrowns, and toast) that they said we could just keep and they would not charge us for. However, when the steak and eggs my husband ordered came out, he took a bite and the meat was rancid and he had to spit it out. He politely called the waitress over to let her know the meat had gone bad. She was very kind, apologized, and took the meal back. The cook then came over and apologized and asked if he would like something else. He ordered the same thing I had, and we waited. Our waitress brought the check over and when I paid it, I asked if his meal could just be put in a to go box and she said yes. We waited while our kids finished eating and his meal still hadn 't come. When we got up to leave I asked if his meal was ready. Our waitress spoke to someone else working there, then told me not yet (I don 't think they had even started it). I told her we were just going to head out, so they didn 't need to make it. They ended up charging us significantly less than what we should have been charged for the food we did get, but overall the experience was not a great one. My husband could not get the nasty taste of sour meat out of his mouth until he was able to get home and brush his teeth. My son did enjoy his meal, so at least for him he had a relatively good experience.
