Tribal Cafe - Arizona

Newly made cafe facility replaces the old house where it was originally. The food was delicious from a long hike in and also the hike from the campsite. Good middle floor to enjoy a good meal after a long day

Okay, we can all find something about... ... it took 49 minutes for a Cheeseburger and Tater-Tarts... they only had sugar syrup... there was no ice for the well drinks But if you take one step back and realize that you are in the middle of the Grand Canyon, you should be really remarkable for: ...I could get a delicious hot meal after a long day of wandering off... I would have ordered bacon and eggs... the well drinks came cold, and I was dead thirst This is a big cafe, though the only cafe in the village. And when you get your pops, they can deliver

The food was fast given how busy they were. We arrived around 8 am but many others trickled in behind us around 10 or 11 which was when we had decided to visit the cafe. Most people appeared to visit the cafe when they arrived so we waited for maybe 10 minutes before getting the food we ordered. At least three other families were sitting inside at the tables eating or waiting in food. The BEST Coca-Cola I have ever had was at this restaurant. I'm not sure if the mixture was correct or if I just found it That refreshing but the food was that much better too after 10-12 miles. I will say, the food is slightly expensive compared to your typical fast food restaurant. We spent about $40 for three meals but truly, it's more of a sit down refreshing meal than a fast food place and you don't have many options when you're 130 miles from the nearest town so the price does make sense in that light. I'm glad we came in.

The breakfast burrito hit the spot the morning after about 16 miles hiking and before a day of 8 more miles hiking. The service was slow, but at least they paid attention to their customers. Adequate dining supplies and delicious food.

Good food. Most of the staff is very friendly. One female staffer seems to enjoy mixing up the orders and then blaming it on the customers. I suggest putting your order in writing if you really want a particular item. For example, regular Coke versus Diet Coke. She will also refuse a paper plate and then give it anyway after she sees your reaction. All other staff is excellent.
