Really good and unique dishes. One big complaint though. Curry Up is very much it's own take on Indian street food. Pictures would be super helpful and go a long way to helping navigate the menu.
Delicious variety of Indian food, good sized portions, friendly staff, spacious eating area, great music playing, self serve soda machine, and clean bathrooms.
The thali I ordered was bland, but sufficient for satisfying a quick hunger while out buying craft supplies next door at Michael’s. The tomato sauce, which accompanied my paneer dish, was reminiscent of that found in canned children’s fare, such as Chef Boyardee’s Ravioli or Spaghetti O’s probably unbalanced with too much sugar. My Kolkata born, Bengali husband also found his biryani to be lackluster. It’s definitely a fast food offering, with spice and complex flavor left out to reach a larger customer base.
I am not a frequent eater here because my family has very basic taste but today I insisted because I wanted real and flavorful food. I've was here when they just opened and 1 other time. Each of my 3 visits they are out of 1/2 of the fountain drinks, which is disappointing because they serve Stubborn and it is pricey. Last time I had to ask for a refund because the selection wasn't worth the cost. Today they had 1 flavor we wanted. Still, very disappointing. Food is good and different but a tad too salty. I don't like the physical menu, as it is difficult to read. They took the meatballs off that the server said was popular and that was what I really came back for. Food is too pricey for the amount of disappointment but still good enough to not write them off.
