Stauffacher Tor - Zürich

Went there because of the entrecotes cafe de paris. service good and fast. meat good quality, but the cdp sauce was anything but good, much worse than in other restaurants, especially it had a lot too much anchovy in it, if you don't like it, you'll be almost bad!sorry, for me there's no second time!

We have been there for years, the quality is above average in all areas, a better mah mee there is nowhere in the city, just as good as before in the clipper.

Design, ambiente conceptless, partly asian elements, partly 80s-Italo style, 1 classic element (cron lights in a corner;) cold, large, undressed carrying columns; some modern art on the walls; uneven mix of leather,- standart and halogen lighting; white fabric table cloth, but over it cheap paper, paper napkins; no background music. - all in all, neither harmonious nor authentically nor exceptional or worth seeing menu selection on Asian standard dishes, pizza and pasta of an average Italian as well as some classic Italian cuisine; an element of the classic French cuisine card was not presented to me (at least please). the wein recommendation (I wanted a rather earthly wein) was good for it.But dinner starter cuddly (3 pcs. fr. 8.50), ordered with only a little ruccola, get completely without ruccola; many tomato seeds - this is not possible with crickets! in the price of a higher price, a concassé preparation (only the fruit meat) is expected; the brot was neither roasted nor warm; garlic strongly preferred, pfeffer missing complete menu l’entrecôte (250g, small salat, pommes à la discretion, 55 fr.) ordered rare to 1/4, medium; meat was not really tender, had already received a much better entrecôte for less money; the pommes of the second round were clearly too short; the salat is almost drowned in the almost tasteless salat sauce, the salat leaves I had to halve twice so that they were mouth-friendly - wein 3dl campofiorin, 21 fr, was served too cold, its taste bouquet only unfolded against the end of the meal; quality of the wee was basically good- total conversion: 90 fr. Safer. the location of the restaurant is central - in the ugly Coop-Stauffacher-Tor. the reception is always warm. the food is always good. Matching and hired from the opposite will be happy to spend more than in the kantine. with pleasant temparatures one sits under the arch, on the street. cozyness and security comes up because everything is right here. Visit the rest. for a long time, usually over midday. who knows it better reserved in advance, fullhouse is coming up already at noon. the menu selection is good (meat, pizza, vegi,) salat or suppe is there and it is usually quite tasty.The many years of staff and the chef have the load in the handle and know many of the recurring guests. the ambiente is cozy and warm and can be fed out in summer. fair prices, friendly service, serving in good quality that make the full - and all this in the middle of the center.
