Schloss Reichenbach - Zollikofen

Very nice lunch with business colleagues. We did enjoy the menue of the day that was very nice and even the price was very fair. Definitiv a place to go for a business lunch.

Zollikofen ? Far from the madding crowd, 15 minutes away from Berne 's main railway station and really worth the trip. A patchwork of stunning buildings, a synagogue, a castle, a jardin à la française with roses and box hedges, a sweet slope towards a mint coloured river called Aare. With a barge to take you across and a vast terrace. Almond trout, thick entrecôte and pike as the ultimate treat were on our menu, celebrating a triple birthday. Garden fresh salads, bread with butter and a very rare retsina tasting white wine from Valais called Marsanne. And a both ceremonious friendly service to feel like royalties. And a private car at your disposal to drive you back, should the night go on...

Large choice of fresh dishes makes this an ideal place to meet with friends for lunch or dinner. Good value for the money.

From worblauf you can reach in a short half hour along the aare the restaurant schlosshlenbach. it is a beautiful walk, walk and varied. we order the coat of arms, eglifilets meunière, a roast beef plate with salat and pommes and a beautiful garnished horse-trecote caffe de paris. A pinot noir is ordered in bottle quality.After a short time the four feeds are waiting: nicely garned, rich teller, excellent fish and very good meat dishes. we are completely satisfied, the teller come hot on the table and the foods remain so warm. my little coupe jamaica convinces just like the damendesserts, which consist of a nicely decorated single ball glace.We make peace on our way home, back along the aare back to worblauf. nb. who wants and has pleasure, can walk there until after bern to bärengraben, but then is well two hours on the go.

In the summer under the beautiful trees a drink and a creamy cocktail eating is simply wonderful! the service is nice and the aare beautiful.
