Hotel-Alte Schmiede - Zirl

We arrived after midnight. because of snow the roads were limited. we went there to snowproof. the hotel owner was so accommodating to us. we called and he met to let us in. we had a very comfortable room/apartment with kitchen. the bedroom was comfortable. Only...negative: the hand towels were small and crispy....can be softer.

After our hike from reither peak we wandered through the village and found this restaurant. the waiting staff were funny, friendly and attentive. we ordered a traditional white carving and a venison stew. both were delicious! the venison was tender and cooked, according to my preferences., medium rare, with touches of tweebel rings, valley flowers and kartoffel wedges. the white carving was better than the norm in a regular beer garden; it was tender and served with delicious cranberry sauce. the potato salad was creamy and a generous portion. a great culinary experience. we would highly recommend!

A really nice dinner in this restaurant. the dishes were fresh, homemade and super delicious. the wee was great, and the service was really professional and friendly. a perfect time!

We were quests so that we have eaten here every night, but in past we were not in this hotel, but the restaurant used because it is very good.

Lovely meal with fresh garden salad, fish with light vegetable sauce, presented beautifully over rice. Apple strudel for desert was perfect, served with vanilla sauce. Service was great. This is a family owned and operated Inn with a restaurant. We stayed at the inn as...well which was also excellent. The staff is incredibly helpful and warm.
