China Taste - Zephyrhills

I ordered vegetable chow mein, but what I received was a disappointing dish filled with an excessive amount of boiled vegetables and no noodles at all. Additionally, I got white rice that I didn't even order. I also requested a mango tea with boba, but it came without any boba in it.

The phone and counter staff were friendly and helpful. However, the food was disappointing; it tasted artificial, similar to a frozen skillet meal you would find in a grocery store.

I hate to say this, but I used to give this place a five-star review. However, after the challenges of the past year, I noticed some concerning changes. Many of their stores are still boarded up, and although they have a menu, none of the prices on it are accurate. They do have a sign with prices, but it would be better if they just updated their menus. The last few times I've visited, I had no idea what my bill would be until I was told at the register. While the flavors are still somewhat present, there are cheaper options nearby, like the one close to Save-A-Lot. The food has become mediocre and no longer reflects its price. Before COVID, everything tasted amazing and I didn’t mind paying for it, but something has changed.

Boneless spare ribs and bourbon chicken was dry and tough. Fried rice is abnormally orange in color and also dry and bland. Won't waste my money there again :(Take out
