This city doesn't care about tourists. There is no response to inquiries. A pity. Update July 26, 2024: German-speaking tourists are really not welcome here. I wrote an email in German when the publisher asked me to write by email, which wasn't good. The answer came in French. I replied that unfortunately I don't know French because more than 30 years ago I only had the benefit of 2 lessons per week of school French and this was only for 3 years. Nothing more came of that. Went to the tourist office today to buy SBB day tickets. 2 employees were present and no one could or wanted to speak German with me. Although I asked in my French if they knew German and I only knew very little French. Is it really too much to ask that employees in a tourism office at least try to speak German? Does this city really benefit from not relying on German-speaking tourists? Very unfortunate.
